       My background and experience

I’m a real generalist with over 25 years’ of management and development experience across the the public and third sectors. I’ve worked in social care, education, mental health, disability, family support and community development.

My expertise lies in asking the right questions, seeing the bigger picture, connecting across silos and bringing the right people together to tackle challenging and complex problems.

I’ve been coaching since 2012 and worked as an internal coach with the Open University for many years before setting up my own coaching and consultancy business in 2019. I love the variety of working with a wide range of clients from senior leaders to those at the start of their careers. In the last few years I have worked with people from the NHS, the BBC, head teachers and college leaders as well as senior social workers, police officers and third sector leaders. After slipping through the net in formal education, I have recently started to embrace my own identity as a dyslexic adult and also work with many neuro-divergent clients.

Whether working with individuals or organisations, for me, it’s about developing a trusted partnership where we can honesty and safely explore under the surface to identify unhelpful patterns, processes, thinking and behaviours, exploring new possibilities, and starting to ‘build the muscle’ that leads to positive and lasting changes.

         Relevant qualifications

As a lifelong learner, I’m always reading and learning. Since finishing my first degree, I have studied alongside my professional work to gain an MBA, Post Grad Executive Coaching Certificate (ILM 7), and NLP Master Practitioner. I am accredited, at Senior Practitioner level, with The European Mentoring Coaching Council (EMCC) and work to their Global Code of Ethics.

         When I’m not at work.

I live with my husband in Shropshire, on the English/Welsh border. Our children have left home and we run a small bed and breakfast business. We keep chickens and often have a trainee Guide Dog living with us too. I love walking and keeping active, am a big fan of yoga and appreciate some mindful time to help stay balanced. I’ve finally reached the stage in my life where I’m comfortable and confident in my own skin, it hasn’t always been like this and like everything in life, it takes ongoing practice to maintain!
